Scott London is a journalist and author based in southern California. Scott was moderator at last years conference and has offered to help at this years also.
He is perhaps best known for his interviews with frontier thinkers and social innovators — men and women charting new directions in science, education, technology, management and other fields. He has also written extensively about the ideas and trends shaping our future.Scott’s journalism spans print, radio and photography. He’s published widely in newspapers and magazines, and has written, edited, and contributed to some 20 books and publications.During the 1990s, he was host of Insight & Outlook, a cultural affairs program heard on many National Public Radio stations in the United States and on global shortwave. He’s also an award-winning photographer whose work has been published worldwide and exhibited in several cities across the U.S. and Europe.In recent years, Scott has devoted much of his time to consulting with academic, government, and nonprofit leaders on issues related to social innovation and civic renewal.He has led several national studies and research projects aimed at understanding how social innovators do their work, the power of informal networks, the uses (and misuses) of collaboration in the nonprofit world, and how communities transform and renew themselves.He was raised and educated in Stockholm, Sweden, and now lives in California with his wife and their two daughters.
